Why am I here

With the mundane ritual of life, it’s easy to wonder why you were created. It seems that with each passing day, you go through the same routine (wake up, work, sleep etc). Then before you know it, you’re on repeat the next day. If you’re not conscious of the cycle of life, feelings of despondency and purposelesness being to set in. As you know, when these emotions appear, it’s hard to shake.

I’m sure that every person who has walked this Earth, at one time or the other, has questioned their existence. You may be wondering why you were born, what’s your purpose or why you should continue living in such a crazy world. These are all valid questions that I cannot answer. It takes each person, individually, to do some soul searching to find the answers that they need.

In my own life, I noticed these lethargic feelings would come upon me when my life didn’t pan out the way I expected. For example, I grew up pretty stress free. Yet the moment I became a young adult, it seemed that life was going much faster than I expected. Gone were my ideas of the perfect life, which was a huge shock to my system. As a result, I came face-to-face with some deep issues. Thank God I got through many of those challenges through personal faith in Jesus Christ, which was my only anchor in the midst of uneasiness.

As I mentioned already, I’m not going to give you a list of suggestions to change how your feeling (it doesn’t work anyways). But I do encourage you to take the journey, which can be oh so painful, to finding out what’s taking place in your heart. Are there issues that need to be dealt with, pains that should be healed, relationships that need to end or friendships restored? Ultimately, only you know!

Today, begin that journey towards finding freedom and clarity in your path. You were created with so much purpose and plan in mind. It’s your choice to discover it!

Every day I find myself constantly asking “Is this IT?! Isn’t there more to life than THIS?!” But I rarely share those questions with anyone, as I have concluded that nobody else seemed to ‘get it.’ I often feel so lonely… almost hopeless… and I am afraid life would be like that forever.

Wanna know what made things even worse?

I was “successful” in the eyes of a lot of people. I felt guilty and ungrateful for even playing with the idea of walking away from a position that so many other people would have killed to be in! If seems like after all my hard work I am getting no rewards, no benefits. I fasted I prayed I bawled but it seem my efforts are in vain. I was referred to make Romans 8:28 mine . I love The Lord and believe in him with all my heart. Even he seemed far away from helping and hearing me.

But I can’t keep pretending that everything is okay. In my heart, I knew something is missing. And although I don’t know exactly what that is or what my next steps are, I know I can’t carry on like this forever.

I am  learning how to create a life filled with a crazy deep sense of purpose, sustainable happiness, and getting paid to do work I love while making a meaningful impact in the world.

That’s my dream that’s the life I need, but I know God have a plan for my life. Life is getting rough and things might be failing but remember this .” If there be no hard times there will be no fight , if there be no fight there will be no victory, if there there be no victory, there will be no crown.

Let us join in heart and soul as we know there is a land that is fairer than day, but only through faith we can see it.
    EVERLASTING LOVE!

    1. Thank you so much for your comment! You are absolutely right that we sometimes question the trajectory of life. But I love the Scripture you’ve made so personal for your life…God does work out all things for our good. Keep going – there’s something beautiful on the other side of whatever your going through.
